Nerdspeak Media (formally Whargarbl TV)

Welcome to NerdSpeak Media, your home for info on the latest movies, television, and music.  Not everything is complete on the site yet, but alas, we now have a site for our new name, NerdSpeak Media.

So why is the site called NerdSpeak Media?

We were originally called Whargarbl TV and if you missed that story, here it is:

–Well, as funny a word, and even harder to pronounce just by looking at the word, it’s a short interesting story. We were up in a snowboarding trip at Lake Tahoe, Ca. Where we were all discussing a recent move to an apartment that Shifty and Midnyte were making. Armond asked them if water, garbage, and cable were included in the rent. We discussed the water, garbage, cable issue a bit. Finally we got tired of saying “water, garbage, cable” so we decided to shorten it down. We can up with Whar-water Gar-garbage Bl-cable. WHARGARBL – PRONOUNCED: WAR’GHAR’BUL

After our snow trip, we decided to see if whargarbl was a real word, and yep, you guessed it, it is. At least, according to urban dictionary, whargarbl is a real word. Whargarbl (n.) A useless or unproductive exercise. (v.) To waste time and effort. (n.) The noise made by a dog’s mouth as it bites the stream of water coming from a lawn sprinkler. Although it looks like that last definition was a result of exhibit A, the other two definitions alone stood out to us. And that’s how Whargarbl TV got it’s name–

These Days:

We had lost some previous staff from Whargarbl TV due to the fact they wanted to go do their own projects. Midnyte and AcousticFan were the only ones left and they both decided that Whargarbl TV was getting to be too difficult pronounce and was in need of a new name. After many ideas of different names, NerdSpeak Media came to life and took the place of Whargarbl TV.

Based in the Bay Area, Ca. NerdSpeak Media is a collective group of individuals from all facets of life and career fields. Whether you are into television, a movie-goer, convention attendee, a fan of music composers/music in general, or looking for somewhere to have fun reading blogs and watching random videos; We are here to share with you our findings and mishaps from across the globe. NerdSpeak Media’s core purpose is to enlighten our viewers/readers by creating, accumulating and distributing information, news, and entertainment.
